So here's how I chose the paintings for this list. I researched and looked over and agonized until I had a list of the best and most influential paintings ever - the art works of the past millenium that need no introduction. - The Virgin Of Chancellor Rolin - Marilyn Monroe - Carnival Of Harlequins - The Joy Of Life - The Son Of Man - The Old Guitarist - Don Quixote - The Great Wave - Girl With A Pearl Earring - Guernica - Bacchus And Ariadne - The Promenade - Les Demoiselles d'Avignon - The Nude Maja - Tahitian Women - The Third Of May - Colossus - Reclining Nude - Composition VIII - Noli Me Tangere - Triumph Of Galatea - School Of Athens - Olympia - The Starry Night - American Gothic - Sacrifice Of Isaac - Massacre Of The Innocents - Penitent Mary Magdalen - Haywain - The Kiss - Crucifixion - Return Of The Prodigal Son - Venus Of Urbino - Moulin De La Galette - View Of Toledo - Union Of Earth And Water - Icon Of The Trinity - Tower Of Babel - Ship Of Fools - Death Of Marat - Vitruvian Man - Sunflowers - Flight Of A Bee - The Persistence Of Memory - The Japanese Bridge - Black Square - Ballerina - Arnolfini Marriage - Liberty Leading The People - Birth Of Venus - Creation Of Adam - The Last Supper - The Sistine Madonna - Madonna Litta - Mona Lisa

Released in 2007 on Radiohead records. In Rainbows is pretty much just what you'd expect from a Radiohead album. They still have a knack for writing dreamy, cerebral electronic tinged mellow rock music. I really don't know why so many critics fell in love with this album. Sure, it's nice and the songs are listenable and good, but this album wasn't a life changing, groundbreaking experience. To me, it's just your typical Radiohead album. Radiohead sound very comfortable as a band. the production is really good. The songs aren't as cryptic as they usually are. Thom Yorke still sings the same way he always does. I doesn't sound pretentious. The songs are a good balance of experimental and lullaby rock. But none of the songs have the enduring appeal of Bends or OK Computer. In Rainbow actually garnered better reviews than those other 2 albums, which is ridiculous. Overall, a very nice, gentle listen. I didn't really tickle my brain or blow me away at all. It was pleasing, but not memorable. Just some Radiohead playing Radiohead songs. 3.6/5
