New Zealand Rugbyman Marc Ellis’s Winning Streak

Sept. 2007 - It's official: In New Zealand, advertising your wedding tackle is legal if you're a well-built ex-rugby star who also happens to be a TV personality. Former All Black rugbyman and TV personality Marc Ellis has made an unexpected return to the rugby pitch in Greymouth at a West Coast match, narrowly escaping a fine. Ellis was at a provincial match between West Coast and King Country filming a new television series when he decided to strip off and go for a run. New legislation from Parliament means anyone caught streaking at a major event can be fined $5000 or face up to three months in jail, but police missed Ellis's moment in the sun and said no spectators had complained.
